BACKGROUND

Chain Reaction Therapy, a fitness and bodywork studio based in San Diego, CA, originally operated on Wix with no awareness of HIPAA compliance requirements. During the onset of COVID-19, their business faced major disruptions due to shutdowns and shifting health guidelines. We stepped in to help them pivot—identifying HIPAA compliance not just as a necessity, but as a strategic advantage to safely continue in-person services. A full migration from Wix to WordPress enabled stronger data protections, enhanced scheduling and intake workflows, and positioned the business for long-term resilience.

Takeaways

This project aligned digital tools to match the client’s workflow—instead of forcing a rigid system. We integrated a WordPress scheduler with JotForm’s HIPAA-compliant forms, streamlining booking, payments, and intake. The result: fewer manual tasks, better data security, and more time for client care.
